| Protected Mode Folders in VISTA / IE-7
The following applies only to the VISTA version of IE-7. When User Access Control is enabled for VISTA, the new Protected Mode functions makes use of an additional set of I.E. Folders. Think of these as Protected Mode folders. Note that User Access Control is enabled by default. The choice as to which set of folders to use for a particular website is based on your Internet Security Zone settings. Using the default set of Internet Security options causes the additional set of I.E. Folders to be used for all Cache, Cookies and History for the Internet Security Zone and the Restricted Security Zone. The normal I.E. folders in the older structure are used only for the Cache, Cookies and History for the Trusted Security Zone. Major modifications have been made to PurgeIE 8.01, PurgeIE Pro 4.01 and PurgeFox 3.01 to add support for these additional Protected Mode folders. A tabbed interface had been implemented for the Protect window to separate the display of Protected Mode entries from the Normal Mode entries. As a single protect file is used for both types, a new Edit function has added to the Protect window for deleting and editing records in the protect file. Additional detail regarding the structure and names for these new I.E. Folders has been included in the PurgeIE webpage - to http://www.purgeie.com/indexdat.htm Assistance & Resources for Computing, Inc
